Stephens withdrew from this week’s Merida Open citing personal reasons after posting on Instagram Stories that she and Altidore ended their marriage “with mutual respect.” TMZ reported divorce papers filed in Florida earlier this month call it “irretrievably broken.” The 2017 US Open champion, once No. 3, is ranked 775 and reached the 2026 Australian Open in January.
