SMU’s Rhett Lashlee Rips CFP Rankings: “It’s Not a Pageant, Earn It”

Lashlee took aim at the CFP committee following Tuesday’s Top 25 reveal, criticizing Notre Dame’s No. 10 ranking ahead of Miami, which beat the Irish head-to-head. Speaking on SiriusXM, Lashlee said CFP relies heavily on subjective “eye test” opinions instead of data. “If two teams have the same record and one beat the other, they shouldn’t be eight spots apart,” he said.
