Steelers Restructure Pat Freiermuth’s Contract, Get Cap Hit Benefit

Freiermuth’s agreement lowers his scheduled $11.2 million cap hit for the 2026 NFL season to provide Pittsburgh salary cap relief. This restructure modifies the previous four-year, $48.4 million contract extension the TE signed in September 2024. That original extension averaged $12.1 million annually, featuring $11.6 million fully guaranteed and a $10.5 million signing bonus.
