Steelers Set To Hire Ex-Commanders DC Joe Whitt Jr. as Assistant Head Coach

Per Tom Pelissero, the Steelers are hiring former Commanders DC Joe Whitt Jr. as assistant head coach/secondary coach. The 47-year-old has extensive ties to new Steelers HC Mike McCarthy, having served under him for 11 seasons with the Green Bay Packers (2008–2018) and three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys as a defensive quality control coach and defensive pass game coordinator.
