Smith said LA’s offense can’t cover for its stops, arguing they don’t scare anybody. He said opponents attack because they “know they can score on you,” and compared it to MJ and Kobe: elite scorers who could also “put you under lock and key.” Smith added defensive “liabilities” mean LA “ain’t beating” OKC, Denver, or San Antonio.

Darko Rajakovic Goes Off On Refs For Non-Call During Raptors-Spurs
Darko was livid with a non-call by the refs. He believed Brandon Ingram was fouled on a three-point attempt at the top of the key by Stephon Castle but the refs didn't call it. So, in a fit of rage, Rajakovic picked up a quick tech leading to an ejection in the second quarter. He did avoid getting ejected however.

Shams Charania: Jayson Tatum Is Doing Five-on-Five Scrimmages, Building Up Conditioning
Shams stated that Tatum is back to five-on-five scrimmages and is putting together a number of practices to build up conditioning. He said Tatum is facing "the hurdle of being 100% mentally ready, 100% confidence in that right leg." However, Shams added that the Celtics are not pressuring Tatum, who wants to return to star form before coming back.

Steve Kerr Highlights Warriors’ Ball Movement in Win vs. Grizzlies, Praises Malevy Leons
Kerr was happy with the way the ball moved in the Warriors' big 133-112 win vs. Grizzlies. "We were able to move the ball really well, 37 assists. Just a really good night for everybody who stepped on the floor," Kerr said. He also praised Malevy Leons for bringing the energy and defending well without conceding a lot of fouls.

Victor Wembanyama Seen Getting Heated At Refs
Just like the Pistons, the Raptors started off the game ultra-physical with Wemby. He went 1-7 from the field and notched 3 turnovers at the start of the game, leading to clear frustration. Eventually, Wemby took this frustration out on the refs, lambasting them for not calling fouls. He ended the game with 12 points and a 110-107 Spurs win.
