Sue Bird Leads WNBA GM Poll of Retired Players Who Should Coach

WNBA GMs picked Bird as the retired player not currently coaching in the league who should be, giving her 36% of the vote in the 2026 survey. Katie Smith, Candace Parker, and Seimone Augustus tied for second at 14%, while Harding, Leslie, and Taurasi also received votes. Last year, Bird shared the top spot with three others at 18%.
