Tarik Skubal Arbitration Hearing Ends, Ruling Due Thursday

Skubal and the Tigers concluded a record-setting salary arbitration hearing Wednesday, with the lefty seeking $32 million against Detroit’s $19 million offer. A panel of Jeanne Charles, Walt De Treux and Allen Ponak is expected to issue its decision Thursday. The 29-year-old two-time AL Cy Young winner went 13-6 with an AL-best 2.21 ERA last season and can hit free agency after the World Series.
