Tarik Skubal Burned by Grand Slam as Tigers Fall to Athletics

Detroit ace Skubal piled up 12 strikeouts but unraveled in the seventh when Shea Langeliers crushed a two-out grand slam, flipping a 3-2 lead into a 6-3 deficit. Skubal allowed six runs (one earned) as two errors by Zach McKinstry extended the inning. Oakland won 8-3, with Langeliers now hitting .322 and 17 homers since the All-Star break.
