Teenager Shot in Times Square as Knicks Championship Celebrations Turn Chaotic
A 17-year-old was shot in the left foot near 42nd Street and Broadway at 2:01 AM Sunday as Knicks championship celebrations turned chaotic in Times Square, per the NYPD. Crowds blocked streets and prevented an ambulance from reaching him, he was transported by police car to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. Three persons of interest were taken into custody.
