The Sandman Credits Paul Heyman for Bringing Mexican Stars Into U.S. Spotlight

Sandman says Heyman changed wrestling’s talent pipeline by giving Mexican wrestlers a real platform in ECW during the 1990s. “The Mexican guys were not getting used in America at all until Paul Heyman brought those guys in,” he said. Sandman added Heyman helped turn names like Rey Mysterio and Konnan into recognizable stars for bigger U.S. promotions.
