Charles Barkley’s Anti-Tanking Plan: No Ticket Hikes, One Lottery Ball, No Protections
Calling tanking “not fair to the game,” Barkley pitched three fixes. First, teams below .500 shouldn’t be allowed to raise ticket prices, so they can’t “get your cake and eat it too.” Second, every non-playoff team should get one ping-pong ball since worst record rarely lands No. 1. Third, remove pick protections: “If you trade a pick, it’s gone.”
