Tiger Woods Says Isleworth 59 Fueled His First Masters Run

Woods recalled playing Isleworth with Mark O’Meara a week before the 1997 Masters, when he shot 59 after a wild back-nine start: “I par 10, birdie 11 and 12, I eagle 13… and I still shoot 59.” Asked if it fueled Augusta, he added, “Well, that and the next day too… it was a hell of a two days.”
