With Victor Wembanyama ejected, the Timberwolves took advantage, leading 60-56. Anthony Edwards led the scoring with 18 points and looked dominant early in the game. Julius Randle chipped in with 10 points, and Naz Reid with 9 points. Stephon Castle has started strong with 14 points. De'Aaron Fox will have to add to his 11 points, with Wembanyama out.

"At some stage, he should be protected, and if not, he’s going to have to protect himself," Johnson said, calling out the officiating. Although Johnson feels the elbow to Reid was unfortunate, he said it happens, and Wemby needed to protect himself.
