Tom Brady Explored Comeback As Owner-Player Before Reaffirming Retirement

“They don’t like that idea very much,” Brady said after asking the NFL about returning as a player while serving as a Raiders minority owner. League rules prohibit active players from holding ownership stakes. Brady added he’s “very happily retired” and said his recent flag football appearance “reconfirmed” that decision. The former quarterback explored the possibility but confirmed he won’t return to an NFL field.
