Tom Cruise Calls It Football, Not Soccer, At World Cup Final
Cruise opened the FIFA World Cup final on FOX in the United States, choosing “football” over America’s usual “soccer” phrasing before Argentina-Spain. He called the tournament “one final chapter” that brought the world together, then said, “This is football. This is unity. This is greatness,” as fans packed MetLife Stadium for the sport’s biggest global stage in New Jersey.
