UNC's Caleb Wilson Has Season-Ending Thumb Surgery, Still Expected to Be Cleared Pre-Draft

Shams Charania reported North Carolina’s freshman Wilson tore a ligament in his right thumb in a non-contact drill Thursday and already had season-ending surgery. Wilson is expected to be cleared during the NBA predraft process, where he’ll compete to be the No. 1 pick in June. The injury ends his college year but shouldn’t derail workouts.
