Venezuela Joins Dominican Republic in Clinching 2028 Olympic Berths

Venezuela’s 8-5 win over Japan did more than send it to the WBC semifinals against Italy on Monday. It also secured a 2028 Los Angeles Olympic baseball spot alongside the Dominican Republic, because the 2026 WBC serves as the Americas qualifier and the top two Americas teams, excluding host United States, advance.
