Carter Bryant got a block along with Wemby on the defensive end of the floor. Within seconds, the Spurs were back on offense and Victor drove into the lane for a layup. He would go on to miss but got his own rebound and dunked over two Pistons, one of whom was Cade Cunningham. This sequence last 13 seconds.

Late in the third quarter, Doncic sank an unbelievable step-back 3-pointer off the glass. It kept the Lakers in the game, and gave them hope going into the 4th quarter. However, Doncic's incredible shot couldn't help the Lakers get a win, succumbing to the Nuggets 120-113. Doncic dropped 27 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists in the losing effort.
