Vikings Plan to Start J.J. McCarthy vs. Lions

Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell is expected to start J.J. McCarthy against the Detroit Lions if he’s healthy, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. “If JJ is healthy, JJ will play,” Rapoport reported. McCarthy would replace Carson Wentz, who started in Minnesota’s 37-10 loss to the Chargers. O’Connell has yet to make the move official ahead of game day.
