Vols Move On from Boo Carter

Tennessee and defensive back Boo Carter are expected to part ways, per On3’s Pete Nakos, after Carter did not play in the 42–9 win over New Mexico State. Head coach Josh Heupel said Carter “failed to meet the standard.” Carter, who previously faced team-status questions in July, logged 16 tackles, 4.5 TFLs, a sack and three forced fumbles this season.
