Walt Anderson Admits OPI Call on Panthers May Have Been Wrong

NFL officiating spokesman Walt Anderson admitted an offensive pass interference call on Panthers receiver Tetairoa McMillan against the Buccaneers “may have been incorrect,” saying it appeared McMillan was legally knocking a defender’s arm away. The flag erased 42 yards and altered the drive. The admission adds to frustration in Carolina after another officiating error also hurt the Panthers in the loss.
