WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said Wilder is “welcome” to challenge Usyk for the WBC heavyweight title as talks swirl. Usyk (24-0) is reportedly lining up his first defense since stopping Daniel Dubois in 2025. Wilder (44-4), former WBC champion, is rebuilding momentum after a 1-2 record in last three fights. Usyk has also shown interest in facing Wilder before retirement.
