WBC Snub Sparks Awkward Path for Shakur Stevenson’s Next Move
Days after the WBC stripped Stevenson’s lightweight title, the WBO named Keyshawn Davis the No. 1 contender for Stevenson’s junior welterweight belt, with Teofimo Lopez installed No. 2. Stevenson and Davis insist they’ll never fight, training together for MSG wins as Stevenson said he’s “proud” of him. With no mandatory due, Stevenson isn’t facing an immediate WBO threat.
