Former NFL RB and Eagles Super Bowl champion Wendell Smallwood Jr. has been granted early release from prison to support his 8-year-old daughter during her cancer battle. The 32-year-old was serving sentences tied to federal fraud and a New Jersey gun possession case. Gloucester County Superior Court Judge Renard Scott withdrew Smallwood’s state guilty plea on Aug. 7, citing his daughter’s illness.
