What Is Turf Toe, the Injury That Has Sidelined Joe Burrow and Brock Purdy?
Turf toe occurs when the big toe stays planted as the heel lifts, bending unnaturally upward and stretching or tearing ligaments. Burrow’s Grade 3 is a full ligament tear and requires surgery plus three months recovery.
