Who Is the Sole Losing MVP in Super Bowl History?
Chuck Howley is the only player in Super Bowl history to be named MVP despite being on the losing team. Howley earned the honor in Super Bowl V after recording two interceptions and a fumble recovery, even though his Dallas Cowboys lost 16-13 to the Baltimore Colts on a last-second field goal. No other Super Bowl MVP has come from the losing side.
