Why NFL Players Are Allowed to Wear Jewelry on the Field

Unlike the NBA, the NFL doesn’t ban jewelry. Players may wear chains, earrings, or rings if they aren’t dangerous. Most tuck necklaces under pads, while earrings are usually small studs. Rings are fine if not bulky, with many opting for silicone wedding bands. The only strict rules apply to cleats, which must follow uniform standards.
