Farnham said Malone’s transition to North Carolina should come fast, pointing to a coach still deeply plugged into both the NBA and college game. After spending 35 minutes talking hoops with him during the Elite Eight, Farnham said Malone’s “passion” and offensive “acumen” will attract players. He added that UNC had to move swiftly with the portal already open.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Backs Kon Knueppel to Win the NBA Rookie of the Year Over Cooper Flagg

Earnhardt, born in North Carolina, unsurprisingly backed Knueppel over Flagg. "No question. He deserves it," Junior wrote, reposting a Hornets video. Knueppel, who leads the NBA in three-pointers made this year, is averaging 18.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. The Hornets, currently eighth in the Eastern Conference, are pushing for their first playoff berth in 10 years.
