Why the Seahawks-49ers Game Did Not Start at the Scheduled 8:00 PM ET
The Seahawks vs. 49ers game was indeed delayed because the preceding AFC Divisional Round playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and the Denver Broncos went into overtime. The NFL officially pushed the kickoff back to 8:20 p.m. ET (5:20 p.m. PT) from its originally scheduled 8:00 p.m. ET start time to accommodate the ongoing first game.
