Windhorst Says Mitchell Should Wait for $350M Deal Over Cavs' $272M July Offer
Cleveland plans to offer Mitchell a 4-year, $272M extension in July, per Brian Windhorst of ESPN, but Mitchell "probably should" wait until 2027 when he reaches 10 years of service and becomes eligible for a 5-year, $350M deal. Mitchell already earns $50M for 2026-27 with a $54M player option for 2027-28 and is under no pressure to sign.
