WNBA’s New Rookie Pay Scale Turns Draft Night Into a Payday Shift

Tonight’s WNBA Draft brings a massive salary jump under the new CBA. The No. 1 pick can now earn $500,000, up from Paige Bueckers’ $78,831 slot last year and Caitlin Clark’s $76,335 in 2024. Even picks 9-15 will make $289,133, while second- and third-rounders start at $270,000, rewriting rookie economics overnight.
