WNBPA Statement After CBA Expiration Targets League, Teams With NBA Store Protest
The WNBPA said the 2020 CBA expired at midnight Friday and slammed the league and teams during a demonstration outside the NBA Store in New York. The union accused them of undervaluing player contributions and “running out the clock” in negotiations. It said players remain united, adding, “Pay equity is not optional, and progress is long overdue.”

With 3:30 left in the fourth near Cleveland’s rim, Randle and Tomlin battled for a jump ball. Tomlin won the tip, but his touch went the wrong way. He redirected the ball into his own basket, awarding Minnesota two points on the toss. The bucket counted for Minnesota. Even after the mistake, the Cavaliers still led 136-121.
