World Cup Audience Rivals NFL After USMNT Match Draws 14.8M Viewers
The United States’ World Cup match against Australia averaged 14.781 million viewers on FOX and peaked at 19.169 million, making it the third-most watched English-language men’s World Cup group-stage telecast in U.S. history. The average audience came within four million of the NFL’s 2025 regular-season mark, while the peak topped many NFL broadcasts. This is another sign that soccer is gaining ground in America.
