Yainer Diaz Nears Astros Return After Missing Six Weeks With Injury

Diaz, who has been out since early May with a left oblique strain, could return to the Astros for the upcoming home series against the Tigers, reports Brian McTaggart. He began a minor-league rehab assignment on June 9. Diaz was hitting .238/.255/.347 and had two homers prior to the injury. The Astros are 33-40 and sit fourth in the AL West.
