Jake Fischer and Marc Stein reported that "There's increasing belief that the Bucks would prefer to wait until after the NBA Finals before trading Giannis." The Bucks seemingly want to see if the Knicks fumble a 2-1 lead and re-enter the sweepstakes after that. There have been murmurs about a potential Karl-Anthony Towns-Giannis swap should the Knicks lose the Finals.
