Chase DeLauter Leaves Game Against Dodgers in First Innings, Guardians Give Injury Update

DeLauter left the game after fouling a pitch from Shohei Ohtani off his back foot. The rookie was checked by a trainer, took a few practice swings, and returned to the batter's box, but hobbled to the tunnel shortly after. The Guardians later announced DeLauter suffered a left foot contusion, and X-rays were negative. He was replaced by CJ Kayfus.
