Dodgers Add Mexican Catcher Robert Saucedo Jr. for $250K
Los Angeles finalized an amateur deal with catcher Saucedo Jr., per reports, for a $250,000 bonus, during a signing ceremony in Mexico. A scout note in the announcement called him “strong arm and good athleticism behind the plate.” The teen joins the Dodgers’ Latin pipeline as the son of Roberto Saucedo, a Mexican League slugger credited with 300-plus homers.
