Drew McIntyre Says Fan Lunged At Him Over Cody Rhodes’ Title Loss

“Somebody…lunged at me saying, ‘That’s Cody’s title,’” McIntyre said after winning the Undisputed WWE Championship from Rhodes on Jan. 9 SmackDown. He claimed the fan swung during a backstage raffle meet-and-greet before security stepped in. McIntyre laughed it off: “I want fans like that. They are passionate.” He defends at Royal Rumble after Saturday Night’s Main Event names a challenger.

“I’m in,” Roman Reigns declared in a video package on the Jan. 23 SmackDown, officially entering the Men’s Royal Rumble in Riyadh. Cody Rhodes, Gunther, and Rey Mysterio previously announced, but Reigns is the biggest late addition so far. The OTC last wrestled at Survivor Series WarGames 2025, teaming with CM Punk, Rhodes, and The Usos against The Vision, Brock Lesnar, and Drew McIntyre.
