Duke QB Darian Mensah Files Emergency Motion Amid Transfer Fight

After Duke sued Mensah for entering the transfer portal despite signing a $4M-per-year contract, the QB has now filed an emergency motion to reconsider a court order blocking his transfer. While allowed to enter the portal, he can’t enroll elsewhere until a judge rules. Mensah said interested schools’ deadlines expire Jan. 23, prompting him to seek an earlier hearing.
