Jeff Teague Reveals Why Larry Bird Refused to Sign LeBron James’ Former Teammates

"He was like, 'I’ll never pay anybody who played with LeBron. I would never pick him up on my team,'" Teague recalled Bird saying. "'Cause he makes them all look good," Bird added, stating that these guys wouldn't live up to expectations after playing with Bron. They wouldn't be the same player as expected when not playing alongside LeBron.
