Joe Lacob Denies “Protecting” Jonathan Kuminga: “That’s Just Not True”

After Golden State’s 121-110 loss to Boston, Lacob addressed chatter he “protected” Kuminga. “People say I loved him as a player, I was protecting him, I was whatever. That’s just not true,” he told Kawakami. He added, “I did like him,” but the fit was “off and on a lot,” before the swap to Atlanta for Porzingis.
