Joey Aguilar Wins Temporary Court Order Against NCAA Eligibility Rules

Aguilar has been granted a temporary restraining order against NCAA eligibility rules, opening a path to return in 2026 for a sixth year of eligibility. His lawsuit argues the NCAA is “blocking Aguilar from playing a fourth year of Division I football… robbing Aguilar of millions.” The QB threw for 3,565 yards, 24 TDs, and led the Vols to an 8-5 finish in 2025.
