Joshua Kimmich Says Germany “Fully Deserved” World Cup Elimination

Kimmich said Germany “fully deserved” their World Cup exit after a Round of 32 penalty loss to Paraguay capped an uneven tournament. Nagelsmann’s side beat Curacao 7-1 and Ivory Coast 2-1, then lost 2-1 to Ecuador before crashing out. “It feels awful,” Kimmich said, admitting Germany “didn’t play well” and had major problems against “not world-class” opponents.
