Netherlands FA Condemns Racist Abuse After Morocco Penalty Exit
The Royal Netherlands Football Association condemned racist and discriminatory online abuse aimed at players after their World Cup elimination as the Oranje lost 3-2 on penalties to Morocco following a 1-1 draw across 120 minutes. Thanking players, staff and supporters, the KNVB said it drew “a clear line,” adding racism and discrimination have no place “in football, online or society.”

Ecuador Complain Over Mexico Fan Noise Before Knockout Clash
Ecuador complained to World Cup organizers after around 1,000 Mexico fans reportedly gathered outside their team hotel in Mexico City before the Round of 32 tie. Supporters used noisemakers, pans and buckets while singing “Cielito Lindo” before police moved them back. Calling it against “fair play,” Ecuador said they would “respond on the pitch” against the co-hosts.
