Kyle Shanahan Confirms Isaac Guerendo Injury As San Francisco Signs Two Running Backs

49ers RB Guerendo tore a pectoral muscle while lifting weights about a month ago, coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed. Shanahan believes Guerendo could return by the end of training camp. The 49ers responded by signing Jordan Mims and Jermar Jefferson on Thursday. It is another setback for Guerendo, who has dealt with hamstring, groin, foot, ankle and shoulder injuries since 2024.
