Kyle Whittingham Wants College Football to Become an NFL Minor League

Michigan coach Kyle Whittingham believes college football's future depends on adopting an NFL-style model. "It's got to be a NFL minor league model," he told Rich Eisen, proposing players become employees, a salary cap, and a 48-60 team "super league." Whittingham warned NIL spending is rising "20-30-40% a year" and called the current system "not sustainable."
