Manuel Neuer Retires From International Soccer After Penalty Shootout Exit to Paraguay

Germany crashed out of the World Cup in the Round of 32 after a shock 4-3 defeat on penalties. Neuer, who came out of retirement just before the tournament, confirmed that the defeat was his last international match. The 40-year-old, who won the World Cup in 2014, extended his Bayern Munich contract till the end of the 2027 season.
