Mitch Johnson Says Nobody Expected the Spurs to Be in the NBA Finals

"I don't think anybody other than the people in that room expected us to be here," Johnson said. He stated that it made them feel good about having exceeded expectations by reaching the NBA Finals. However, he admitted, "There's a lot of pain in what just happened." The Spurs showed grit, but proved inexperienced compared to the Knicks.

Teenager Shot in Times Square as Knicks Championship Celebrations Turn Chaotic

A 17-year-old was shot in the left foot near 42nd Street and Broadway at 2:01 AM Sunday as Knicks championship celebrations turned chaotic in Times Square, per the NYPD. Crowds blocked streets and prevented an ambulance from reaching him, he was transported by police car to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. Three persons of interest were taken into custody.
