MLBPA Updates CBA Proposal to Stop Pitching Roster Manipulation

Bob Nightengale reports the players’ union updated its CBA proposal with pitching qualifications aimed at preventing roster manipulation. The changes would block teams from optioning pitchers immediately after games or during the All-Star break once certain thresholds are met. The union said the plan is “designed to improve the game, protect players' health and safety."
