Nico Hoerner Was Adamant About Full No-Trade Clause in New Cubs Extension

Hoerner signed a six-year, $141 million extension after an offseason full of trade rumors. To gain control over his future, Hoerner and his agency had one non-negotiable: a full no-trade clause. Bruce Levine reports that, as per Cubs President of Basketball Operations Jed Hoyer, "there wouldn't have been an agreement without it". Hoerner had a line of 297/.345/.373. in 2025.
